Banned Uses

This internet venue may be used only for lawful purposes by: Authorized Users seeking employment from Parent Members as sitters and authorized users seeking to employ one or more Sitter Members. For the most part, common sense, fairness and decency dictate the uses which are off limits. The Company specifically prohibits any of the following:

  • Posting or submitting any incomplete, false or inaccurate biographical information.
  • Deleting or revising any material posted by any other person.
  • Disclosing to or sharing with a person who is not an Authorized User a password by which such non-Authorized User may gain access to any non-public area of this Website.
  • Aggregating, copying or duplicating in any manner any of the Website Content.
  • Framing of or linking to any of the Website Content.
  • Stealing Our Stuff. You agree not to “crawl,” “scrape,” or “spider” any page of the Services or to reverse engineer or attempt to obtain the source code of the Services.
  • Trying to Harm Our Systems. You will not distribute any virus or other harmful computer code through the Services.
  • Entering Inappropriate, False or Misleading Content. There are certain types of content we don’t want posted (for legal reasons or otherwise). You agree that you will not post any content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, vulgar or otherwise offensive. You also agree not to post any content that is false and misleading or uses the Services in a manner that is fraudulent or deceptive.
  • Taking any action that would undermine any aspect of the Service or use the Service in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, or inhibit other users from fully enjoying the Service or that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the functioning of the Service in any manner.
  • Harvesting information about Users without their consent.
  • Impersonating another person or allowing any other person or entity to use your user name, password or membership and Restricting or inhibiting any other User from using and enjoying the Service.

Governing Law and Arbitration

Hopefully, your association with will be rewarding and you will never need to use this section. But, just in case things do not go well from your perspective, please read this carefully. This is here for you. It sets out certain substantive and procedural rules.

First, if you are upset with another user of or a third party, we respectfully direct you to contact that person or entity and try to work out the dispute. In fact, you shall release from any claims, demands and damages arising out of disputes with other users or third parties.

If the dispute cannot be resolved, then the parties agree that the dispute shall be submitted to Arbitration. The Tennessee Uniform Arbitration Act, T.C.A. § 29-5-301 et seq.shall govern all aspects of the Arbitration. Each party shall pay its own attorney fees and the cost of the Arbitration shall be paid as provided in the award. Any award rendered by the arbitrator is binding except under very restricted conditions mandating modification, correction or vacation of an award by a court of competent jurisdiction. Another Legal Point: Indemnification or ( What Happens If You Get Us Sued)

We hope this never happens, but if Our Sitter List Nashville gets sued because of something that you did, you agree to defend and indemnify us. That means you’ll defend Our Sitters List Nashville (including any of our employees) and hold us harmless from any legal claim or demand (including reasonable attorney’s fees) that arises from your actions, your use (or misuse) of our Services, or your breach of the House Rules.

Lastly: Severability

If any part of this contract is found unenforceable, that part shall be severed and the rest of the contract shall remain enforceable. This contract does not serve to give you legal advice.
